Utility Stores Will Stay Open on Eid-Ul-Azha

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, the federal government has decided to keep utility stores open.

Utility stores across the country will remain open on the three days of Eid-ul-Azha, according to details. A spokesperson stated that the action was taken to assist the poor class during the Eid festivities.

They also stated that officials would ensure that all essential items were available in stores. People would have no difficulty for purchasing essential items at reduced prices.

Furthermore, on June 28, the federal government announced on Sunday that the requirement to submit a copy of your CNIC to shop at a utility store would be eliminated.

According to details, the one-time password system for shopping at utility stores has also been discontinued. Customers will no longer be required to present a copy of their CNIC when shopping at any utility store.

To purchase subsidised items at the utility store, customers will only need to show their original CNIC at the counter. Customers will receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile number.
