The new season will focus on the fissures that began to appear in the royal family before to Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ divorce.

The Crown returned with a new outstanding cast stepping into the royal family’s footsteps. It is planned to centre on the breakdown of the romance between then-Prince Charles and Princess Diana, as portrayed by famed actors Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki.

In the forthcoming episode of the show, Pakistan’s versatile actor Humayun Saeed will be seen dazzling fans with his unrivalled acting talents as British-Pakistani doctor Hasnat (Diana’s suspected love interest).

“I believe these Netflix films will be viewed as quasi-documentaries,” says Pauline Maclaran of the Centre for the Study of the Modern Monarchy at Royal Holloway, University of London.

“We already know that the royals are significantly less popular with this generation,” the analyst stated.

Pauline Maclaran believes that the new series, which focuses on Princess Diana’s tumultuous relationship with then-Prince Charles, will not increase young people’s support for the monarchy.

“They are likely to understand Diana as the victim of Charles’ abuse of her,” the article continued.
