HOMEMADE CHEESY PASTA…

During a visit to Lavender Primary School, Kate told  told the children that she frequently gets her two eldest children to cook with her – including their favourite ‘cheesy pasta’.

She explained how each of the children have a little role in the process – ‘one stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in’.

Speaking afterwards, Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the the Ivy Learning Trust, said: ‘She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day.

‘One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in, and they make salads and stuff.

‘Food is important to her and she understands the links between mental health and physical exercise.’

…AND CARBONARA

Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli revealed in 2020 Prince George’s favourite food – the Mediterranean classic, spaghetti carbonara.

Italian born Aldo, 67, who now lives in Surrey and is an ambassador for the youth homeless charity Centrepoint, told how he’s had a number of encounters with Prince William, 41, who is patron of the organisation.

During their chats over the years, Aldo told how Prince William talked animatedly about his three children – and revealed George’s meal of choice.

‘[William’s] amazing – I’m waiting for the call because apparently his little boy’s favourite is spaghetti carbonara, so I’m waiting for the call to go and cook it for him,’ Aldo told FEMAIL.

‘[William] is an absolute gent. He’ll come over to you, speak to you about – he knows everything about everyone. That’s what I like about people like that, before they come over to you they make sure they know who you are and what you do for a living, it’s a very intelligent thing to do.

‘He’s such a great, great guy, I’m a big fan of the Royal Family.’

Cheeky Aldo added: ‘If George has my carbonara, he will never have another one, so I need to go and make it, let’s get the ball rolling, send me to the palace to cook!’

But the royal household does not stick a frozen pizza in the oven or order from their local takeaway, they make it from scratch.

When preparing food at the St. Luke’s Community Centre for the Commonwealth Big Lunch event in London, Kate said that George, Charlotte and Louis’ favourite dish is pizza.

Kate said: ‘I’ve done that with George and Charlotte, making pizza dough.

‘They love it because they can get their hands messy.’
