On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Saturday and conveyed warm Eid greetings to the government and people of Türkiye on the happy occasion of Eidul Azha.

President Erdogan responded to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s warm Eid greetings by extending his best wishes to Pakistan’s government and people.

During their conversation, the Turkish president also prayed for the victims of the devastating floods in Balochistan.

President Erdogan reaffirmed his government’s unwavering support for Pakistan during this trying time.

While recalling his recent visit to Turkey and the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation, the prime minister expressed his government’s firm determination to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, energy, and other critical sectors.

Both leaders also discussed regional and international peace and security issues, such as increasing cooperation to address global energy and food crises.

The prime minister expressed his eagerness to welcome President Erdogan to Pakistan for the 7th session of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC) in September 2022.

He expressed his hope that the Turkish president’s visit to Pakistan would open up new avenues for the two fraternal countries to broaden and deepen trade and investment ties.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan and Bahrain’s long-standing fraternal relations, emphasizing that close ties provided significant opportunities for deeper bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, particularly the promotion of bilateral trade and investment.

He spoke on the phone with King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, exchanging Eid Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eidul Azha.

The prime minister also expressed his best wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity.

In response to the prime minister’s warm Eid greetings, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa extended his best wishes to the people of Pakistan on this occasion.

He expressed his determination to expand mutual cooperation for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
