KARACHI: To assist drivers in choosing the best route for their travels in advance of Ashura processions and Muharram-related religious gatherings and programmes, the traffic police released the city’s traffic plan on Sunday, according to infosette News.
According to a press release from the traffic police today, processions will leave from Nishtar Park for the Muharram 08, 09, and 10 1444 A.H., or August 07, 08, and 09, respectively, and will finish at Imambargah Hussania Iranian in Kharadar.
On Muharram 08, the procession begins at Nishter Park at 1:30 PM and travels through Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, Saddar, M.A. Jinnah Road once more, and Imambargah Hussania Iranian in Kharadar before coming to an end. The Soldier Bazar Road, Coast Guards, Ankleseria Chowk, Jubilee, or Nishtar Roads will all be used as alternate routes for vehicles entering the city.

Muharram 9 procession route (August 8) :
Imambargah Shah-e-Najaf on Martin Road will lead a procession in the direction of Nishtar Park.
After the majlis, a procession will leave for Nishtar Park and then head to Imambargah Hussainia Iranian Kharadar at around 12 o’clock.
Nishter Park and Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road will be the route. Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khurasan on Father Jaminis Road. Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, M.A. Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Bombay Bazar, Kharadar, and Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road to Hussainan Iranian Imambargah are all places associated with M.A. Jinnah.
Muharram 10 (August 9):
The central mourning procession will leave Nishtar Park at 8 am on Youm-e-Ashur after Majalis and end at Hussainan Iranian Imambargah at 6 pm.
Nishter Park, Father Jaminis Road, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Mehfil-e-Shah-e-Khurasan, M.A. Jinnah Mansfield Street, Preedy Street, Tibet Chowk, M.A. Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Bombay Bazar Kharadar, Nawab Mahabat Khanji Road, and Hussainan Iranian Imambargah are all part of the procession route.
On Muharram 8, 9, and 10, general traffic will be prohibited on the routes of the funeral processions. People should use a different route. According to the press release, traffic officials will be present at diversions to help the general public.
