While some of those closest to the Royal Family had hoped that the upcoming coronation of King Charles III would smooth over the tensions, it doesn’t appear that the event will change anything.
Whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend or not, there is still a lot of ill will in the Royal Family.
Therefore, it doesn’t seem that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will receive an apology any time soon for the way they were treated over the years, according to the revelations from their Netflix show and his book ‘Spare’.
“I don’t think His Majesty is minded to apologise for anything at present, quite the opposite,” one source told The Sun.
“There is still a huge amount of ill will boiling over in the family.”
Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle attend King Charles III’s coronation?
It still isn’t clear if the Sussex camp will be there for the coronation of King Charles III on May 6.
Invites haven’t been sent out to anyone yet, and they might not even receive a formal invite as they have always had an open invitation to all such events over these past few years.
In any case, there will likely be talks with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to confirm if they’re coming and to work out arrangements.
“Conversations could still happen in the next few weeks over the Sussexes’ attendance,” the same royal source told The Sun.
“But, they will be waiting a very long time for an apology. There’s a great deal of hurt.”
It’s not just King Charles III, as the head of the family, who has been hurt by his son’s media campaign, with his brother Prince William believed to be particularly shocked and angry about all the revelations that have now been made public by Prince Harry.
