Kim Kardashian Explains Why North West Held Up a ‘Stop’ Sign During a Fashion Show

Kim Kardashian “Anyone Who knows North knows how amusing this video is!” the reality star wrote.

People are bound to take photos of North West when they see her in public, but that doesn’t mean she has to be happy about it. The 9-year-old daughter of two of the world’s most famous people, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, recently improvised a simple way of telling photographers off while sitting in the front row with her mother at a recent Paris Fashion Week runway show.

North stares dead into the camera of one person filming her in a moment captured by a now-viral video from the show. She holds up a piece of paper with one word written in pencil on it: “Stop.”

Anna Wintour, who sits two seats down, watches the catwalk with the reality star, who has now explained on Twitter what inspired North’s creativity. “Anyone who knows North knows how amusing she finds this video!” she tweeted on Thursday (July 7). “I guess North was fed up with people taking pictures of her.”

She wrote STOP on her invitation and held it up,” she went on. “And I just wanted them to concentrate on the show.”

In a previous tweet, the Skims founder expressed her delight that North — the oldest of her four children with West — joins her for such appearances. “As a mom, I’m so grateful that my daughter loves coming with me on my work trips and that I’m able to bring her and create these memories with my mom,” Kim Kardashian said, alongside several photos of the pair in Paris Fashion Week.
