Independence Day 2022: The Fourth of July Celebrate Around The US

The Fourth of July has been a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations dates back to the 18th century and the American Revolution. The Continental Congress voted in favor of independence on July 2, 1776, and two days later, delegates from the thirteen colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence, a historic document drafted by Thomas Jefferson. July 4th has been celebrated as the birth of American independence since 1776, with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades, and concerts to more casual family gatherings and barbecues. Monday, July 4, 2022, is the Fourth of July.
