Harry Styles is currently touring the world with his Love On show and had to reject the opportunity to play at the King’s Coronation Concert. Along with Harry Styles, Elton John, Adele, and The Spice Girls also turned down the invitation.
Harry Styles, Elton John, Adele, and The Spice Girls also refused to perform
It seems that Buckingham Palace can’t get performers to commit to the celebration that has not been seen in over 70 years when Queen Elizabeth II was named Queen of England and the Commonwealth.
Currently, the Commonwealth comprises Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, St Christopher and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, however, there have been announcements of some countries which will leave the British Commonwealth soon.
Elton John also rejected the invitation to perform because he is also on tour, but in this case, it will be the “Rocketman”‘s last tour.
The Spice Girls also turned down the coronation concert for reasons that nobody knows, as they announced their reunion earlier this month, however, there has not been any confirmation of when that will happen and if they will record an album or just focus on touring.

Which artists have confirmed their performance?
At this point, there are only a few who are confirmed for the event, including boyband Take That and Kylie & Dannii Minogue. More names will be added to the lineup as the event get closer.
An insider from the ceremony claims that “The biggest names and acts in world music are being approached for the concert. If you draw up a list of the most popular acts in the world over the past 30 years then they are all being considered.”
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children have not confirmed nor denied their assistance to the historic event, as they have not been getting along greatly after the publication of Harry’s “Spare” book.
