It seems that Buckingham Palace can’t get performers to commit to the celebration that has not been seen in over 70 years when Queen Elizabeth II was named Queen of England and the Commonwealth.

Currently, the Commonwealth comprises Australia, Antigua and Barbuda, the Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Grenada, Jamaica, Papua New Guinea, St Christopher and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, New Zealand, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, however, there have been announcements of some countries which will leave the British Commonwealth soon.

Elton John also rejected the invitation to perform because he is also on tour, but in this case, it will be the “Rocketman”‘s last tour.

At this point, there are only a few who are confirmed for the event, including boyband Take That and Kylie & Dannii Minogue. More names will be added to the lineup as the event get closer.

An insider from the ceremony claims that “The biggest names and acts in world music are being approached for the concert. If you draw up a list of the most popular acts in the world over the past 30 years then they are all being considered.
