Govt decreases petrol price by Rs3.05 per liter

Interestingly, the government has raised the price of diesel by Rs8.95.

The federal government reduced petrol Price by Rs3.05 on Sunday but increased the price of diesel by Rs8.95 for the next two weeks.

The Finance Division stated in its notification that due to fluctuations in international petroleum prices and exchange rate fluctuations, the government has decided to revise the existing prices of petroleum products to pass on the impact to consumers.

The new petrol prices will take effect on August 1, 2022

Petrol Price will now cost Rs227.19 per litre as a result of the price changes. Petrol was previously sold for Rs230.34 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel has increased by Rs8.95, with the new price standing at Rs244.95 per litre.

Kerosene oil, on the other hand, which was previously available for Rs196.45 per litre, will now be sold for Rs201.07 per litre, an Rs4.62 increase.

After a slight decrease of Rs0.12, light diesel oil will be sold for Rs191.32 per litre, down from Rs191.44 per litre previously.
