During this afternoon’s funeral prayers for his eternal peace, Arshad Sharif, a well-known journalist and television host will receive the final salutations from his loved ones.
According to the journalist’s family, funeral prayers will be conducted today at 2 p.m. at the Shah Faisal Mosque in Islamabad. He will afterward be laid to rest in the nation’s capital’s H-11 cemetery.
The body of Arshad Sharif was transported to Pakistan after his assassination in Kenya.
Early on Wednesday morning, a plane carrying his body touched down at the airport in Islamabad. At the airport in Islamabad, his family members received the body.
In Kenya, the police acknowledged killing him in their initial report. According to the Kenyan police, Sharif was accidentally shot in the head.
Eight members of the PIMS hospital’s medical board performed a postmortem on his remains at the hospital upon the family’s request.
The family requested that the medical team also include an OMFS surgeon and an ENT surgeon.
At the hospital, his body was also subjected to an X-ray and a CT scan by the PIMS medical board.
The initial postmortem report is anticipated to be published today, according to sources.
The forensic analysis of the materials delivered to the laboratory may take a few days, according to Professor Hashim Raza of the PIMS hospital.

Faisal Vawda disputed the Kenyan police’s explanation of Arshad Sharif’s killing as the result of a case of mistaken identity, claiming that his slaying was premeditated and the conspiracy was hatched in Pakistan.
According to the PTI leader, Arshad’s martyrdom was a pre-planned murder, not just a random incident. He noted that Arshad Sharif was shot down at close range.
Arshad was forced to leave Pakistan by “conspirators,” according to what he also claimed, so he traveled to Dubai.

Tuesday in Peshawar, PTI Chairman, and former prime minister Imran Khan asserted that murdered journalist Arshad Sharif was the subject of a plot.
Whatever anyone says, I am certain that Arshad Sharif was a victim of targeted killing, Khan declared.
“I had heard that Sharif would be slain in order to silence the truth,” said the source.
Additionally, the former leader asserted that Sharif was receiving threats from unidentified callers.
Imran Khan said, adding that he thought Sharif was the most admired journalist, “I told him to leave the nation, but he did not listen.”

Pak Army wants a high-level investigation:
Tuesday, the Pakistan Army requested that a high-level investigation into the untimely death of the journalist be carried out by the government.
In order to put an end to all of these rumors, we have asked the government to conduct a high-level investigation, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lt Gen Babar Iftikhar.
“This horrible occurrence needs to be investigated from every angle,”
The DG ISPR responded to a query regarding the allegations leveled against the institutions regarding their alleged role in Sharif’s murder in Kenya by saying: “It is extremely regrettable that people engage in claims without any proof to support them and I believe these issues should be addressed with a thorough inquiry.
Kenyan authorities and the government are in touch: Foreign Office
According to the Pakistani Foreign Office, the government is actively coordinating at various levels with the Kenyan authorities for the swift repatriation of Sharif’s lifeless remains.
Pakistan has also formally requested that Kenya look into the event.
In order to emphasize the significance of the situation, acting foreign secretary Raza Bashir Tarar also met with the Kenyan High Commissioner in Islamabad.
Tarar also gave a briefing on the developments to the distinguished members of the National Assembly Foreign Relations Committee.
