Congratulations are in order because Brooke Kinsella has given birth to a son.

The actress, who played Kelly Taylor in EastEnders, posted a cute photo of her son Ben on Instagram.

Brooke, 38, is expecting her second child with her husband, Simon Boardley, 43.

She wrote alongside the photo: “On a day when so much was taken away, a perfect miracle was bestowed upon us. Dedicated to the greatest of men.

“He’ll make them so proud.” I’m already aware of it.”

Friends and followers of the couple reacted quickly, with Rita Simmons writing, “Oh me oh my! Ben. Hello and welcome to the world. Aren’t all the Bens the best? We are sending you and Ben our heartfelt love.”

“How incredible is this?” “Congratulations to you all xx,” said a third.

Brooke’s brother Ben was tragically killed on June 29, 2008, at the age of 16 years.

Brooke later established the Ben Kinsella Trust charity to educate young people about the dangers of knife crime and youth violence.

She was awarded an MBE in 2011 for her charitable work.

Brooke has a one-year-old daughter named Elsie, whom she married in 2017.

During the pandemic, Brooke told OK magazine that she wanted to give Elsie a sibling.

“I come from a big family, and I’m very close to my siblings,” she explained.

“Having someone to share life with is extremely important, and I’d love to provide Elsie with that.” There’s plenty of room in our house for another baby.

“Obviously, we’re not getting any younger, so we need to think about these things, but I’m not in a hurry.”
