Infosette (News): On Saturday, children from various schools painted beautiful images of the Pakistani flag and Minar-e-Pakistan to show their support for their country and commemorate the Diamond Jubilee (75th anniversary) of Pakistan. 

Children from various schools in the federal capital Islamabad painted the Pakistani flag and the Minar-e-Pakistan with their own hands as part of the national flag painting ceremony, demonstrating their pride and love for their country.

Pakistan’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations were marked by a parade on the D-Chowk by troops from Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Kashmir police, and the Frontier Corps.

Children also sang national songs like “Sohni Dharti Allah Rakhe,” “Ae Watan Pyare Watan,” and “Dil Dil Pakistan” in addition to the national anthem.

Children were also encouraged by anchors Nadeem Jafferi and Asma Iqbal when they were asked what the colours of the Pakistani flag stand for.

They responded, “The white and dark green field represents Minorities and Muslim majority, respectively.” While the five-rayed star and crescent on the flag stand for light and knowledge, respectively.

The members of the Counter-Terrorism Department, Special Security Unit Sindh Police, Frontier Corps, and Police Force saluted the distinguished guests while yelling “Allah Ho Akbar” (God is great).

Following the parade, traffic transport vehicles from various divisions of the Islamabad Police marched past the stage while carrying flags.

Marriyum Aurangzeb, the federal minister for information and broadcasting, attended the event as the chief guest. She was surrounded by young people who were eager to get her autograph and pose for pictures.

She also commended the kids for their enthusiasm and zeal in contributing fully to painting the Pakistani flag and commemorating the diamond jubilee.

A sizable crowd attended the flag painting ceremony, which was organised by the Federal Directorate of Education, Capital Development Authority (CDA), and Ministry of Information.

Saira Afzal Tarar, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Shahera Shahid, Mubashir Hasan, the principal information officer, and senior members of the Islamabad Police were also present at the ceremony.
