Alia Bhatt announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Monday by posting a picture of her sonography. Her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, was also in the photo. Alia married Ranbir in April after dating him for nearly 5 years. But did you know that in a 2018 interview, the actress revealed that she had begun to consider baby names?
Alia captioned the photo on Monday, “Our baby….. coming soon.” Alia is seen in the photo smiling as she looks at the sonography monitor. Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan, her mother-in-law, Neetu Kapoor, her sister-in-law, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, and celebrities including Priyanka Chopra, Rakul Preet Singh, Karan Johar, Tiger Shroff, and many others congratulated her in the video’s comments section.
Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor made their relationship public in 2018. The pair made an appearance together at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception. During an interview with Filmfare that year, Alia stated, “I’ve not had the life of an average 20-year-old.” I mean any other 20-year-old on the street. Perhaps another 20-year-old would have had a much more difficult life than mine. So I won’t understand their point of view on you, and they might not understand mine. Everyone’s story is unique based on their life experiences. Also, I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve turned 25, but I’ve recently begun thinking about baby names. I’m a baby myself, but for some reason, baby names appeal to me.”
Alia expressed her desire for children in a video the following year. Alia posted a video on YouTube in 2019 with her best friend Akansha Ranjan. Alia revealed how many children she wishes to have in the video. She stated that she desires “two boys.”
The release of Alia and Ranbir’s film Brahmastra is currently scheduled. The film, directed by Ayan Mukerji, will be released on September 9, 2022. She is also working on her Heart Of Stone. Alia’s first international project is the film. Netflix will release Tom Harper’s film. Aside from that, Alia is currently filming Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh, which will be released in 2023.
The actor added that she “fell in love with Ranbir” in the first frame of his film, Saawariya.
