5.6-magnitude earthquake strikes Balochistan

On Sunday evening, an earthquake struck several parts of Balochistan’s Makran Division, according to Infosette News.

Tremors were felt in the province’s Gwadar, Pasni, Ormara, and Kech areas.

The National Seismic Monitoring Center reports that the earthquake had a Richter scale value of 5.6. Its epicenter was Pasni near Gwadar, and it had a depth of 30 kilometers.

Although no injuries or property damage were immediately reported, it is important to keep in mind that various sections of Balochistan are currently dealing with monsoon floods, which have left the province in a terrible state.

Over 124 people have died so far, 6,000 homes have been completely destroyed, and over 10,000 homes have suffered partial damage as a result of the storms.
